In a bizarre collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome changes resonate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret sect.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Content

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-inspired costume for Yasuke
• Mikasa attire for Naoe

Third Free Story Addition

This patch also adds the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery."
