Incredible $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Represents a Online Gaming GM's Dream

After a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Every volume of Cartographer's Annual are included here, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, dungeons, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
